Tools and parts: the new crank, 8mm Allen wrench, the crank puller

Step:

1. Remove the right and left pedal. (pedals installation guide)

2. Use 8mm Allen wrench to loosen the left crank arm bolts by turning counterclockwise, remove and put them aside.

3. Use the crank puller carefully to thread into the crank clockwise by hand, be careful not to cross thread or damage the threads.

4. Use the crank puller to press the crank off the bottom bracket. Hold the crank arm and push down on the crank puller to engage the inner bolt, which will press against the bottom bracket and will eventually remove the crank. Be careful not to get hurt.

5. Remove the crank puller from the crank arm.

6. When you remove the right crank, be careful of the chain, allow the chain to hang out of the way.

7. Use 8mm Allen wrench to loosen the right crank arm bolts by turning counterclockwise, remove and put them aside.

8. Use the crank puller carefully to thread into the crank clockwise by hand, be careful not to cross thread or damage the threads.

9. Use the crank puller to press the crank off the bottom bracket. Hold the crank arm and push down on the crank puller to engage the inner bolt, which will press against the bottom bracket and will eventually remove the crank. Be careful not to get hurt.

10. Remove the crank puller from the crank by turning counterclockwise.

11. Adjust the direction of the new crank to make the crank and the other crank in line, press the crank onto the square taper mount.

12. Install the left and right crank arm bolts with 8mm Allen wrench to tighten the bolts.

13. Install the chain. Push the derailleur housing forward to create chain slack, and use the shaft of the Allen wrench to lift the chain onto the teeth of the chainring.

14. Install the pedal.(pedals installation guide)

Inspection:

1. Check that the crank is installed firmly and rotated smoothly.

2. Press the button “i”to turn on the e-bike system, turn the shifter to check whether the derailleur system can work normally.

3. Check that the chain performs well. Lift the rear wheel off the ground, rotate the cranks to check the chain is properly mounted on the chainring.
